unfortunately we were not spared either and had to close our practice rooms on Wednesday, January 6th and went into quarantine. The reopening took place on Monday, January 18th.
What did that mean for you?
Despite all our efforts, we did not reach all of our scheduled patients by phone. With the conversion of our practice software in January 2020, we have the option of writing to patients by email, but we had never used this option so we did not collect any email addresses – apart from the patients scheduled online, as they have to give their email address automatically.
In addition, many phone numbers had changed over the years – both the landline and mobile phone numbers. If we had a no longer valid phone number in our system, we could of course not reach the patients. That was very annoying and unsatisfactory for everyone involved.
What can we do to change this unsatisfactory situation …
We have decided that when you register for our office hours, we will ask you for changed phone numbers and current residence details, including your email address. We have also created a questionnaire for this purpose, which we would like to give you to fill it out. We will gradually enter the data into the system. We hope that there won’t be such a short-term problem, but in case it should happen, we would be prepared for it.
